# *Project 2025.3.4 👉 The Contract*

- Exclusive invite only, TechLit Empire
- Deadline: Wed, 24 September
- Awards: Sat, 27 September

## *Narrative for Students*

You just got your first web development gig, and haven't even finished secondary school!

Because you're serious about getting a job, you have a very impressive GitHub profile, and you contribute to all sorts of open-source projects.

This guy, Njoro wa Scuba, has a scuba-diving company in Mombasa. He was impressed by your work on GitHub, then found you on LinkedIn.

Scuba needs a custom ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) web app for his company's warehouse in Mombasa. But now, he wants you to send him your "Service Agreement". What is that?!

Your friend, Leo, is obsessed with the law. He says that service agreements are simple legal documents.

Leo will help you edit your document once you have a draft. All you have to do is create a draft agreement, and record a video explaining the agreement to Leo.

Leo says these sections are must-haves:

- Parties & Relationships
- Scope of Work
- Timing, Deadlines, Duration
- Payment Terms

He also says these sections are nice-to-haves, but they're normally boilerplate:

- IP (Intellectual Property) Rights
- Confidentiality
- Termination
- Arbitration
- Representation & Warranties
- Force Majeure
- Modification

## *Submission Materials*

Prepare to upload (1) your draft agreement as a PDF, and (2) your video.

Please, teachers, add the classroom name and student name(s) in the WhatsApp message or in the file name or both.
