The Update Process

What is the update process?

Updating your TechLit system is a two-phase process:

  1. Get Updates: First, you acquire the necessary update files. You only need to do this on one computer.
  2. Install Updates: Second, you install the files on the target machine(s).

This approach allows you to download an update from the internet just once and then distribute it to all other computers in the classroom offline, saving time and bandwidth.

Phase 1: Get the Update Files

Choose one of the following methods to get the update files onto a computer.

From the Internet (Bastion) From a Local Computer (LAN)

Phase 2: Install or Distribute the Updates

Once you have the update files on one machine, you can install them or share them.
